Jones teacher to head educators’ group

A Jones County science teacher is the president-elect for the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, according to a news release from the 75,000-member organization.

Richard Thomas, a science teacher at Gray Station Middle School, was voted as president-elect at a PAGE summer conference in late June.Thomas was previously on PAGE’s board of directors.

His role now includes presiding over the work of PAGE’s legislative committee drafting legislative priorities for the 2010 General Assembly.
