Jones County school students will walk the red carpet Friday as the school system celebrates its student filmmakers for the second annual Film Festival. More than 41 teams, comprised of students from kindergarten to 12th grade, competed in producing films for the festival.
The movies will be judged on their educational significance and must be aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards curriculum. The movies also are judged for best story line, best cinematography, best sound and best picture.
The event starts at 6 p.m. Friday, May 8, and will be held at the Jones County High School Performing Arts Center. It’s open to the public.
