Four midstate seniors were awarded the largest possible scholarships offered through the Macon State College Foundation, according to a college news release.
Macon State Presidential Scholarships, worth $20,000 for four years, are awarded annually to high school seniors with top academic and extracurricular credentials.
This year’s winners were Joshua Deaton and Matthew O’Gorman, both of Central Fellowship Christian Academy; Mitchel Wachtel, Westside High School; and Kimberly Walker, Lamar County High School.
“These scholarships represent once in a lifetime opportunities for Central Georgia high school students and they give us an even greater chance to attract top academic talent to Macon State,” President David A. Bell said.
