Rotary Club donates dictionaries to Bibb students

The Macon Rotary Club is visiting Bibb County public schools today to give away dictionaries to each fifth-grader.

The Rotary Club bought almost 2,000 dictionaries to give away, according to a school system news release.

“Community partnerships such as this are an opportunity for people to have a direct, positive impact on the education of students and the future of Macon and Bibb County,” Superintendent Sharon Patterson said.

The Macon Rotary Club has also partnered with the school system for a speech contest and Burdell-Hunt Elementary literacy program.
