Mercer law school to hold benefit

Mercer University will hold the second annual celebration of ETHOS — “Extending The Hands Of Service” — on Thursday at the Armory Ballroom, 484 First St., from 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m. The event raises money to help fund stipends for students working in unpaid summer internships in areas of public service.

The event will honor alumni James “Phil” Bond and Amy Bell, who both have committed their legal careers to areas of public interest.

The event will include live music from Mark Brooker and the Neo Cats as well as the law school’s faculty band.

Tickets are $10 for students and $25 for general admission. There also are $100 raffle tickets to win one of three vacation packages: an all-expense paid hunting package in Nebraska, a cabin getaway at Lake Blue Ridge in Blue Ridge and a weekend stay in the Alabama mountains at Lake Lahusage.

For ticket information, contact Courtney Dickey at dickey_ca@law.mercer.edu or (478) 301-5023.
