Staff changes announced at Stratford

Stratford Academy announced some staff changes Tuesday. Kathleen Medlin was named director of institutional advancement, which includes the tasks of fundraising, marketing, public relations, publications and alumni affairs.

Medlin, a Stratford graduate, previously worked in the private school’s development office under former Director of Development Rachel Deems, who left Stratford in June 2008.

That role was reorganized into the director of institutional advancement.Medlin had also worked in marketing at Wesleyan College and Coliseum Health System.

Also joining Stratford’s staff is Jaime Kaplan who will serve as major gifts coordinator. Kaplan, also a Stratford graduate and former professional tennis player, recently taught tennis at Healy Point Country Club.

“These two appointments represent great news for Stratford Academy,” said Head of School Bob Veto. “Ms. Medlin and Ms. Kaplan’s work will help us to provide our school with the vision, financial support and growth that it needs in order to continue to be a leader in Middle Georgia.”

Stratford is a pre-K through 12th grade college preparatory school on Peake Road in Bibb County.
