Shaw tapped as Mercer’s new engineering dean

Mercer University President Bill Underwood has appointed Wade Shaw as dean of Mercer’s School of Engineering.

Shaw comes to Mercer from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla., where he worked for nearly 20 years and most recently served as professor of engineering systems. His appointment is effective July 1.

Shaw will replace Michael Leonard, who has been serving as interim dean since M. Dayne Aldridge retired in 2008.
