Northeast High School students recognized for good grades

The 144 Northeast High School students who earned As and Bs on their report cards were honored with a breakfast at the east Macon school Wednesday.

Students also got T-shirts, coupons and gift certificates and entered into a drawing for a chance to win a 42-inch flatscreen television.

“In an effort to maximize the academic performance of our students, we have to reward the behavior we expect,” said Northeast principal Sam Scavella. “These students are being honored because of their dedication and persistence of excellence.”
