Young writers have until Dec. 19 to submit their essays to Olive Garden’s Pasta Tales writing contest.
Entries will be accepted from students in first through 12th-grade answering the question: “How would you use the Internet to change your community for the better?”
One grand prize winner will receive a $2,500 savings bond and a trip to New York City for dinner at the Times-Square Olive Garden.
A winner also will be chosen in each grade category and will receive a $500 savings bond and dinner at their local Olive Garden restaurant.

Olive Garden is accepting essays of 50 to 250 words. Entry forms and complete rules are available at www.olivegarden.com/company/community/pasta_tales.asp and in all local Olive Garden restaurants.
All mailed entries must be postmarked by Dec. 19 and received by Jan. 2, 2009. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Dec. 19.
