Lake Joy students take top two prizes in design contest

Isabella Short, a fifth-grader at Lake Joy Elementary in Warner Robins, has won first place for her T-shirt design. She scored the top prize during the Gifted & Talented Education T-shirt design contest, sponsored by the Houston County Gifted Program.

She won $50, and her design will be used on the new Gifted & Talented Education shirt. Second place went to Kyle Jenkins, also a fifth-grader at Lake Joy, and third place went to Tyler Nunn, a fifth-grader at Kings Chapel Elementary in Perry. They each won $10.
