A 30-year-old man who lives on Allen Road in south Bibb County left his house and went to a nearby grocery store one afternoon early this month. He was gone maybe half an hour. While he was shopping, a sheriff’s report of the Feb. 2 matter noted, “something weird happened.” When he returned to the parking lot, the tailgate on his truck was down. “It was not down when he left home,” the report said. “If it would have fallen that way he would have heard it.” The man thought he might know who was responsible because when he got home the $350 Yeti cooler in his carport was missing. “He believes that his soon-to-be ex-wife not only messed with his truck but also took the cooler,” the report said. “He has no proof of either but said that this has been an ongoing matter with her.”
