A manager at the Kroger on Forsyth Road in north Macon recognized the shoplifting suspect right away. The manager told authorities that when he managed another supermarket in south Macon the thief came in almost weekly and made off with beer and dog food. On Aug. 1, the suspect walked into the north Macon store pushing a grocery buggy, the manager told Bibb County sheriff's deputies. The man got away again, this time with three cases of Budweiser, two cases of Bud Light and a 40-pound sack of Disney’s Old Yeller dog food.
Dispatches: On Aug. 5, an east Macon man called the cops to his former girlfriend’s place on Cochran Avenue in Fort Hill. His $40 Hustle Gang T-shirt and $60 sweatshirt were missing. The man, 26, said he couldn’t remember where he’d left them. He said his girlfriend had kicked him out, and that when she did he looked for the clothes before leaving but couldn’t find them. “He confirmed that he has looked everywhere,” a Bibb sheriff’s report noted. . . . Late last month, a guy at Belk on Riverside Drive in Macon caught the eye of a store security officer. The guy reportedly concealed a $180 Ralph Lauren dress in his pants. “When the subject was confronted,” a Bibb sheriff’s report said, “the subject ran out the front of the store and dropped the dress.”
