A suspicious package apparently caught the eye of a FedEx worker in Macon earlier this month.
The FedEx employee told a Bibb County sheriff’s deputy that on July 3 he inspected the parcel “based on the way it was packaged and the location from which it was shipped,” an incident report noted. “Upon opening it, (the employee) found what he believed to be marijuana.”
The 4.5-pound package, sent from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was addressed to a 29-year-old man in Warner Robins.
According to the incident report, the weed was worth $54,000. But that may have been a typo. Authorities said the value seemed high.

Either way, the deputy sealed up the marijuana and took it to the county crime lab for disposal.
