Worker hit with gun in southwest Bibb armed robbery

An employee at Kim’s Fashion and Internet Café was hit in the head with a long gun during an armed robbery about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said two men with shirts over their faces came into the store at 5598 Bloomfield Road near Rocky Creek Road.

One of them, who had a blue shirt over his face, approached a female worker who was sitting on a couch, pointed the gun at her and demanded money. The other man, who had a white shirt masking his face, went to the back of the store where a customer was at the gaming machines, according to the sheriff’s office.

The worker did not budge, so the gunmen grabbed the cash register and threw it on the floor in a failed attempt to open it.

He approached the woman a second time and hit her in the head as she was getting up.

They took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

The woman was treated at the scene.
