The In and Out Grocery was robbed at gunpoint just before midnight Sunday.

Three masked men with semi-automatic handguns entered the store at 4032 Chambers Road as the clerk was closing. The robbers forced him behind the counter where they took money from the cash register, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The gunmen also forced the employee to open the safe, which was empty.

They ran into the woods behind the store near the juncture of Bloomfield Road and Log Cabin Drive.
