Macon store’s bank deposit stolen from manager’s car on Houston Avenue

A Houston Avenue store manager was robbed of a bank deposit and cellphone Thursday morning.

Shortly after 7 a.m., the woman was driving away from the Family Dollar at 3567 Houston Ave. when she encountered two males in the back parking lot, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the men opened her passenger door and took the bank bag and her phone before they ran away.

The robbers are described as young black men believed to be in their teens, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, the release stated.

One of them had dreadlocks and was wearing a black shirt with red Dickey pants.

The other had on a black T-shirt and dirty gray shorts.
