A Macon armed robbery victim’s accurate description of the thieves helped Bibb deputies nab a suspect within an hour.
Fifty minutes after a Tindall Heights man handed over his cellphone and car keys to two men with a gun, deputies saw the stolen 2012 Kia Forte on Rocky Creek Road, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The driver began a chase that ended at the dead end on Lancelot Place where the men bailed out and ran away.
Minutes later, a deputy saw a teen on a bicycle. His orange shorts matched those described from the earlier robbery.
The teen, identified as 17-year-old Reginald Jacobs Jr., threw down the bike, ran behind a house on Robin Hood Road and was arrested and charged with armed robbery and theft.
The gun was not recovered, but the bicycle, which was stolen along with a suitcase, was returned to its owner.
Deputies are looking for the second suspect, who was dressed in blue and had several tattoos.
