GBI: Alleged accidental drowning of Soperton boy ruled homicide

The death of a 2-year-old Soperton boy, originally reported to have accidentally drowned, has now been ruled a homicide.

The boy’s mother, Porshia Johnson, 22, and her boyfriend Travis Jordan, 21, were arrested Sunday.

Jordan is charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and cruelty to children, the release stated.

Johnson is charged with felony murder and cruelty to children.
