Photo released of robber of Citgo on Pio Nono

Hours before Duke beat back the Badgers, an apparent Wisconsin fan fired a shot in the ceiling and held up the Citgo at 1803 Pio Nono Ave.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance images from the store Thursday in hopes someone will recognize the black man dressed in gray Dickies pants and a black T-shirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt emblazoned with “Wisconsin” in red.

The hold up happened at about 6 a.m. April 6 when the robber headed straight behind the counter for the money and got into an argument with the clerk, who followed him. The robber fired his gun and made off with cash and a cash register.

He is described as being about 5 feet 4 inches tall with an unknown weight. He was wearing black and white Chuck Taylor-style tennis shoes with white laces and a red bandana covering his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
