Surveillance footage landed a suspected burglar behind bars early Tuesday morning.
Joshua Travis Dryden, 27, was identified by Bibb County sheriff’s investigators as the suspect shown on surveillance footage breaking into the North Macon Park Recreation Center and stealing a computer tower. Deputies had responded to the center after a burglar alarm and found a window and plate glass door had been broken and an alarm system key pad had been destroyed.
Dryden was arrested about 1:35 a.m. Tuesday in a separate incident at his home near the park on North Macon Park Drive. He was charged with misdemeanor theft by taking, criminal trespass, obstructing or hindering someone making an emergency 911 call and State Court probation violation in that incident. When investigators identified him as the suspect at North Macon Park, he also was charged with second-degree felony burglary. Dryden is being held without bond at the Bibb County jail.
