Monroe County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men Wednesday afternoon after they allegedly robbed a Dollar General store in High Falls, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The sheriff’s office received a call at 2 p.m. that the store was being robbed, the release said. A Georgia Department of Natural Resources ranger and his K-9 partner responded to the call. Witnesses told him that the suspects, one of whom was armed with a shotgun, fled to a nearby wooded area.
Deputies from Monroe, Lamar and Butts counties searched the area when they received a tip that the suspects were at a residence on High Falls Road. The suspects were arrested without incident.
D’Andre Jackson, 18, of Jackson, and Marvin Mann, 21, of Atlanta, were charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The two men are brothers.
