While a Crawford County deputy was asleep in his house, someone fired a gunshot into his patrol car.
Crawford Sheriff Lewis Walker said the vehicle was parked in front of the deputy’s home in Bibb County at the time.
The deputy was not injured, and investigators are trying to determine whether it was hit by random gunfire or was purposely targeted.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was called at about 7 a.m. Tuesday to investigate.
