Two arrests made in Macon car wash killing

Two suspects from Macon were arrested and charged Monday in the fatal shooting of a man at an abandoned car wash.

The U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Jaqavius Javon Holloway, 21, of Macon, about noon and charged him with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the March 28 shooting death of 19-year-old Marquis Reginald Lowe.

About 7 p.m., Bibb County sheriff’s investigators arrested Malik Tajhae Young, 19, and also charged him with murder, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

An earlier report said Young and Lowe were meeting Holloway to sell a gun and things went awry. Now investigators say Young and Lowe went to meet Holloway with the intent to rob him, and Lowe was fatally shot, according to the release.
