Bibb County deputies are asking for help locating a woman who allegedly took her father’s car and did not return.
Lisa Lang, 49, takes care of her father, William Pelt Jr. Pelt called deputies to his Wesleyan Drive home about 1:40 p.m. Feb. 19. He told authorities Lang took his silver 2000 Buick LeSabre without his consent, according to a Thursday news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Pelt said he had given Lang permission to take the car to pick up some items at a store, but she did not return like she was supposed to, the release states. Another family member has been in touch with Lang, but she would not reveal her whereabouts.
Lang is wanted for questioning in the incident, which the release characterized as a theft by conversion of a vehicle and cruelty to an elderly person.
Anyone with information about the location of Lang or the Buick LeSabre is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
The car has a Georgia tag number of DP2P83 and has a wheelchair rack mounted on the back.
