A 29-year-old Macon man was charged with rape Monday, accused of assaulting a woman after a party at an apartment on Appling Court.
Famous Dewayne Bryant, of Joe Davis Street, also is charged with aggravated assault, stemming from an allegation he choked the 25-year-old woman while forcing her to have sex, according to an arrest warrant.
Bibb County deputies interviewed the woman at about 2:45 p.m. Friday.
According to their report, the woman alleged several people had been drinking at a party the night before.
Everyone left at about 2:30 a.m., and she drove Bryant to a store to buy cigarettes. When they returned, the woman asked him to leave, according to the report.
The woman alleges Bryant forced her to have sex and choked her.
Bryant is being held at the county jail without bond, according to jail records.
