Suspect sought in wallet theft at Kroger

Police are seeking a suspect in connection with a stolen wallet at a local grocery store.

According to a Monday news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the victim left his wallet at the service desk at the Kroger located at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. on Sept. 26. When he returned, the wallet was missing.

The store’s security cameras showed a black man about 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds take the wallet. He was wearing a red hat with black letters, a black shirt and dark colored pants, the release states.

The suspect is wanted for questioning in the theft and use of credit cards that were in the stolen wallet. Anyone with information about the identity and location of the suspect in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
