Suspects sought after taking money, keys from Family Dollar in Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking three suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Saturday night.

Three black males reportedly entered the Family Dollar at 160 Emery Highway in Macon around 9 p.m. One of the suspects brandished a silver gun and ordered one of the employees to the cash registers, where he demanded money.

The second suspect was reportedly the lookout, while a third demanded the store’s keys from another employee.

“As far as I know, they took the keys, and they ran from the store,” said Deputy Linda Howard, a public information officer with the sheriff’s office.

According to a news release, the first suspect was wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt, with a black bandana covering the lower part of his face. The second suspect was wearing all black and also had a black bandana covering the lower part of his face. The third suspect was wearing a red and black windbreaker and had a red bandana covering the lower part of his face. No one was injured during the incident.
