4 arrests after west Macon motel guest robbed, tied up

A 30-year-old Macon man was robbed and bound late Wednesday morning at America’s Best Inn at 4991 Harrison Road.

Rashod Lamar heard a female voice and opened the door at about 11 a.m., thinking it was housekeeping, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Two men, one armed with a knife and the other with a stick, forced their way into Lamar’s room. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, a cellphone, ID, a jacket and Lamar’s pants before tying him up and getting away, the release stated.

Deputies and investigators identified and arrested three men and a woman, all from Macon.

Mcell Dioui Chance, 28, John Aldon Clark II, 36, Kyra Lajonahatee Williams, 22, and Jamie Lynn Wright, 30, are charged with armed robbery.
