Macon resident in stable condition after shooting

A Macon man is recovering after being shot on Lynmore Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Antonio Cable, 38, was walking from a friend’s house on Lynmore Avenue in south Macon when he saw a vehicle driving behind him. After hearing gunshots, Cable ran into some bushes before realizing he had been struck in the shoulder, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

He then flagged down an unknown motorist, who drove him to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, where the report was made at about 1:30 a.m. Cable is being treated for his injury and is listed in stable condition.
