A 20-year-old Macon man out walking Friday night was shot in the leg, police said.
Tiondre Galloway told deputies he was walking in the 1500 block of Cedar Avenue when he heard gunshots and started running, a Bibb County sheriff’s news release stated.
Galloway was struck in the left leg and was in stable condition at the Medical Center, Navicent Health. He told deputies a passer-by came by just after the incident and drove him to the hospital.
Deputies were dispatched to the hospital just before 10:30 p.m. in reference to a person shot, the release stated.

Galloway also told the sheriff’s investigator at the hospital he was shot near a business near Pio Nono Avenue at Montpelier Avenue, the release stated. No description was available of the suspect.
