A pair of convenience store workers who were depositing money in a drop box at a west Macon bank were robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The stickup happened about 2:30 p.m. outside the State Bank & Trust branch near the intersection of Log Cabin Drive and Eisenhower Parkway.
“An armed suspect approached and demanded that the store employees hand over the bank deposit bag. (After) the suspect received the deposit bag that contained undisclosed amount of cash, he fled,” an emailed statement from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
No one was hurt.
