Macon police investigate shootings
Macon police are investigating at least two shootings that happened Monday evening, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
Shortly after 5 p.m., a man was shot in the thigh as he got out of his car in the 2400 block of Brevard Drive, which is a few blocks off Rocky Creek Road.
The victim told officers a home invader fired the shot from inside the man's home, but he did not see the shooter.
Just before 6:15 p.m., at least three people dodged bullets in a parking lot in the 3300 block of Sherry Drive, which intersects Rice Mill Road off of Pio Nono Avenue.
The news release states the victims said a red Lincoln Town Car with tinted windows and 22-inch rims drove by and people inside the car started shooting, hitting two of the victims' vehicles but missing the people.
