A Fannin County man wanted on a charge of aggravated child molestation was arrested Friday in Houston County.
U.S. marshals with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force office in Macon arrested Stacey Aaron Elliot, 28, on charges that also included cruelty to children, failure to register as a sex offender and violation of probation, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
He was serving 20 years probation on a 2001 child molestation charge.
Union County authorities requested U.S. marshals’ assistance in locating Elliott, and the investigation determined he had recently molested a child in Fannin County, the release stated. Investigators also learned he was in Warner Robins and living with a friend. He was arrested at that residence.
