A 15-year-old girl has died from injuries she sustained in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Warner Robins.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the girl as Melissa Wright of Warner Robins.
A 12-year-old boy, also injured in the wreck, was in stable condition Wednesday at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, according to a Warner Robins police news release.
A preliminary investigation found that about 4 p.m., a 1994 Honda Civic driven by 23-year-old Benjamin Torok of Kathleen ran a red light while traveling north on Lake Joy Road and collided with a 2004 GMC Envoy operated by 48-year-old Theresa Wright, who was westbound on Feagin Mill Road. The collision caused Wright’s vehicle to roll over.
Two other adults and five juveniles, including the 15-year-old and 12-year-old, were in the Envoy.
The accident remains under investigation, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police.
