A 27-year-old man was found shot and critically wounded Sunday morning at his Edna Place apartment in Macon. As of press time, the victim’s name had not been released by Macon police, who were dispatched to the scene where the wounded man was just after 9:30 a.m. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the victim, who according to property records had lived there since September, was inside Apartment 802 at The Summit apartment complex.
Sunday evening, Jones said the gunshot victim was being treated at The Medical Center of Central Georgia. No details about the shooting were made available. The apartments where the victim was found sit just south of Napier Avenue near Edna Place’s intersection with Walker Street, about a mile north of Mercer University Drive and the Macon Mall.
