Macon club owner, employee face alcohol charges

Two men face charges after an undercover investigation by Macon police at a local nightclub.

The men were cited Sunday night at Midtown Key Club, 435 Third St., after an undercover officer said he saw one of the men, 50-year-old Square Lewis Rouse, of Macon, sell alcohol to an underage patron, according to a police news release and incident report. When asked if the club served food, Rouse said the club had a rotisserie that was not working, the officer said. The business does not have a kitchen, according to the report. The club’s owner, Darryl Wash, 37, of Macon, was cited for sale of alcohol on Sunday.
