Bibb man arrested in meth lab bust at his home

An east Bibb County man faces drug charges after investigators discovered a methamphetamine lab in his home.

Anthony Scott Lewis, 42, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine after deputies served a failure to appear warrant Monday morning at 5763 Jeffersonville Road in Dry Branch, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Drug investigators from Bibb and Jones counties received a tip that Lewis was suspected of manufacturing methamphetamines at the home where deputies found the manufactured drug drying in plain view in Lewis’ bedroom, the release stated.

The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department’s Hazmat team responded to the scene before a decontamination crew from Atlanta disposed of the lab.
