Bibb County investigators arrested a Macon man and charged him with aggravated assault after he allegedly stabbed another man in the wrist with a fire poker Friday afternoon.
According to a sheriff’s report, Andrew Malcolm Jr., 58, of Finneydale Drive, struck the victim after an argument.
The report said witnesses told deputies that Malcolm ran into the woods with the poker and allegedly attacked the victim, stabbing him in the wrist. He allegedly told a witness, “You better call an ambulance. He (is) bleeding bad out of his wrist. I done got him.” Malcolm allegedly dropped the poker and ran into his house, the report stated.
Investigators retrieved the poker. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics, then taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia for observation.
