A Crawford County man accidentally shot himself in the right thigh with his pistol early Wednesday morning.
According to Crawford County sheriff’s officials, Edward Leonard Oxley, 48, of Lizella, was getting dressed at about 8:17 a.m. His .22-caliber revolver fell out of its holster and discharged, striking him in the thigh.
Oxley was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with a non-life threatening injury. No charges are expected to be filed, the release said.
