An 8-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Thursday night while running across North Davis Drive in front of Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant, police said.
The boy suffered some leg injuries, but the injuries were not believed to be life threatening, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police.
He was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia as a precaution, Pugh said.
The boy was running west to east across the roadway in front of the restaurant at 513 N. Davis Drive when he was struck by the vehicle at 6:22 p.m., Pugh said.

The boy may have run out in front of the vehicle, but it was too early to say for certain with the accident under investigation, Pugh said. The driver did stop, she said. No one else was injured, Pugh said.
A short section of North Davis Drive was closed Thursday night for police to conduct the accident investigation.
The road was shut down from Captain D’s to Church’s Chicken at 501 N. Davis Drive.
