Bibb deputies arrest man with concealed firearm

Bibb County deputies arrested a man and charged him with concealing a firearm while investigating reports of shots fired Monday night on Steven Drive.

According to a sheriff’s report, deputies arrested Jermine Slaughter, 18, of Pinewood Park. Deputies were investigating a report of some car windows that had been shot out. While on the scene, they spotted Slaughter sitting nearby. When they ordered him to stand up, Slaughter grabbed something in his waist area and ran.

When the deputies caught Slaughter, they found a .357 Magnum tucked in the waistband of his pants. Slaughter told deputies he found the gun and denied any involvement in the shootings. He was taken to the Bibb County jail.
