Former Howard High bookkeeper charged with identity theft

A former bookkeeper at Howard High School was arrested Thursday and charged with identity theft, financial card fraud and fiduciary theft, according to Bibb County jail records.

The bookkeeper, Jennifer Harvey of Forsyth, was released Thursday on an $8,300 bond, jail records show. Sylvia McGee, the Bibb County school system’s acting superintendent, said Harvey resigned from Howard High in July.

“As this is still an active investigation, our ability to communicate specific details is limited,” McGee said in a Friday e-mail to The Telegraph.
