An arrest warrant for aggravated assault has been issued for a Perry man accused of shooting another man in the leg early Sunday, Perry police said.
Jerome Felton King Jr., 31, is accused of shooting Kevin Northcut, 26, of Perry, outside Northcut’s home at 1018 Winchester Circle, Perry police Capt. Heath Dykes said Tuesday.
Northcut remained hospitalized Tuesday at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Dykes said.
King and Northcut apparently had argued earlier at a convenience store, Dykes said.

What the men argued about was not known, he said.
Northcut was coming home about 3:30 a.m. when King allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, striking Northcut in the leg, Dykes said.
Anyone with information about King’s whereabouts is asked to contact Perry police Sgt. Chris Sutcliff at (478) 988-2829.
