Six arrested, marijuana, gun seized in Macon police raid

Police seized marijuana, a stolen pistol and made six arrests during a drug raid Tuesday at a Macon house. Some of those arrested attempted to flee by jumping out of windows, police said.

The raid at 1585 Hurley Circle was conducted at 12:30 p.m. by the narcotics unit of the criminal investigation division of the Macon Police Department, according to a Macon police news release issued late Tuesday.

About 7.5 ounces of marijuana was seized by police as well as a pistol reported stolen from Crawford County, the release said.

The suspects told police they did not live at the house, which had been the subject of numerous complaints of drug activity, the release said.

Those arrested included: Carlton Alexander, 24, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and violation of probation out of Bibb County; Timothy Shelley Ashley, 28, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine from an outstanding warrant from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office; and Antwan Brooks, 20, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Also arrested was Daniel Lee Glover, 26, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; Vashaun Glover, 28, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft by receiving stolen property; and Xavier Shenett, 21, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft by receiving stolen property, the release said.
