Macon woman assaulted during home invasion

A masked man held a 32-year-old Dorothy Avenue woman on the floor Thursday night as another man ransacked her home, according to Macon police.

The woman told police she was leaving her home about 5:45 p.m. to go to church when two masked men forced her back inside her house.

One man held her on the floor and punched her in the face multiple times while the other man “trashed” her house, according to a police report.

The men left after about 30 minutes and took a sawed-off, 20-gauge pump shotgun, according to the report.

Police say the woman didn’t have any visible injuries.
