Macon police have charged a 29-year-old Tennessee man with attempted armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with a July 5 incident at Expert Wireless, 3795 Mercer University Drive.
Rashan Lateel Jordan was released from a local hospital Wednesday and was taken into custody, according to a news release.
Jordan is accused of trying to rob the store’s owners at gunpoint, but the owners retrieved their own gun and exchanged shots with Jordan.
Neither store owner was injured, but Jordan was shot in multiple places, according to police.

Due to his injuries, Jordan struck a curb on Mercer University Drive and was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, according to police.
