Woman robbed at gunpoint outside Ridge apartment

A 40-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint at 9:15 p.m. Monday as she got out of her car in the 3000 block of Ridge Avenue, according to Macon police.

The woman told police a man approached her from behind and she felt something that she thought was a pistol, according to a police report.

After demanding and grabbing her purse, the man ran into a wooded area behind her apartment. He was last seen wearing all black with a black hat, according to the report.
