A Macon store owner was hit in the head with a pistol as he and two customers were held at gunpoint just before midnight Monday in the robbery of the Market Place at 1091 Clinton Road.
The owner sustained a small cut to the forehead, and one of the female customers scraped her arm when she was thrown to the ground as two masked gunmen dressed in black held up the store shortly before closing time, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
The gunmen ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash but did not take anything from the women in the store, the release stated.
