Bibb County grand jurors have indicted three men on a charge of criminal attempt to traffic in marijuana, according to Bibb County Superior Court records.

Howard Eric Sanders, 38, was a UPS driver Oct. 5, 2009, when he is alleged to have received information about a package containing 10 pounds of marijuana, including the tracking number, prosecutor Neil Halvorson said. Instead of delivering the package to the location on the address, he allegedly tried to take the package to another person in exchange for money, Halvorson said.

Two other men, 28-year-old Thaddeus L. Bond and 31-year-old Donnie W. Brown, are accused of offering money to UPS drivers in exchange for the drivers picking up packages containing an excess of 10 pounds of marijuana in October 2009, according to the indictment.
