Shots fired outside Macon convenience store

Shots were fired outside MM Gas & Food Mart, 2760 Montpelier Ave., early Saturday, according to Macon police.

Rajesh Kumar, a cashier at the store, told police he heard several shots fired about 1 a.m. Saturday.

Police found four bullet holes in the store window glass, in addition to broken glass on the cooler door.

Kumar said he didn’t know who fired the shots, according to police reports.

This month, two men were shot in separate incidents after leaving the store. Antonio Rouse, 28, of Mercer University Drive, was shot in the abdomen on Blossom Avenue after leaving the store on the night of July 6. Roderick Reddick, 20, of Napier Avenue, was shot in the arm the morning of July 8 on Poppy Avenue after leaving the store.
